Happy Birthday Apurva :)

Everything for You

I was thinking to write a blog for a long time. Actually i joined blogger in 9th class, only to read Amitabh Bacchan's blog and at that time i didn't know that how to write a blog. Even if i could write then the biggest question in front of me was what to write ? Because i was not too good in English (as i'm not now too). And i tried to write but i didn't have any topic or any spirit or anything that inspires me to write. Yes, i wrote some short stories in Hindi in my higher secondary classes. But for me a blog was, y'know, um very difficult. Finally i'm writing my first blog and its for my sister. :)

There is one more person whose blogs i like to read, Preethi Sridhara. My friend from Bangalore whom i met in Delhi during Jenesys Program. Preethi if you are reading this than i want to tell you here is your fan and you inspired me too.

Today I have something to share. Its a special day for my sister and for me too. Its her birthday. Happy birthday Charu ( that's not a good ending for an article or letter, is it ?)

When I was in 10th or in 11th, i had a thinking in my mind that if i had an elder sister than i'd be so lucky. but i was wrong. I am lucky because i have you. No one can replace you. I love you my dear sister.

I remember when we were at Ubharat beach, it was the first time when you saw the Sea. and you were frightened at that time because of those big waves. Do you remember ?

I remember when everyday i drop you to your school and i was happy to be with you. I was happy to do that ( not because that was a girl's school).

I remember when i was going to Kolkata to join my college ( NIT Durgapur ) and you asked papa to make a call on my cell phone and than you  asked me to come back. Because i told you that I'll return in December after exams i.e after 5 months. How i can forget to mention that you were crying at that time. Then after that time whenever I and Ayush left the to go to our college or Institute you had tears in your eyes.

I have a lot to say but now only happy birthday, and best wishes from my side and as the title is Everything for you.

I found one pic today. Ayush usually say it to you. so I'm adding that here. You not so 'moti' but as it is written here, but "WE ARE YOUR BROTHER'S"

And the last thing " I'm lucky I have kd you". I love you.

( i didn't sleep today and i think now i should go for a morning walk because its too late to sleep :p )

Naked

A few months back, I came across a  YouTube short  of  Slavoj Žižek . I don’t watch reels or shorts as it’s a rabbit hole. Once you’re in, getting out is hard. That reel was a part of his interview and had a story.  Žižek  is a Slovenian philosopher. A girl came to  Žižek  and told him that when his last lover saw her naked, he told her to lose a few extra pounds. Her lover thinks she will be perfect once she loses 3 -4 extra pounds.  Žižek  told her not to lose that extra pound. He said that imperfection is the cause of desire. This imperfection held him close to her. He might lose interest in her once she loses those extra pounds. It is called the objective cause of desire in psychoanalysis. That brought two things to my mind. First, we are humans and naturally wired to find negatives anywhere. It is just simple threat protection mechanism. So if the girl secrets the extra pound, his partner’s eyes would the...

Bad Company : With a touch of Indian history

Those who do not read the history tend to repeat it.  Ever heard the above quote ?    In school we had a story of a bad company and a friend of mine, Sanjay said jokingly 'all company is bad company'. Don't go into grammatical errors of it since we were Hindi medium students and more importantly kids. I think both of us now working for some corporate would agree to this with some extent but I am sure that Sanjay had not said this keeping corporate in mind because we were in middle school and we did not know where would we go.  Possible comparison he must have done is East India Company to Bad company of friends, bad friends can do enough damage to you in similar ways that East India Company did to India. Though, this reasoning can now be linked to corporate as well. Choice is personal and reasoning as well, but the thought can not be discarded altogether at once. I do have my reasons but let's get into history and see if we have something in common between East Indi...

Void

“Love fills up the void in your life, that’s what people say. But no, it creates a void,” he thought while sitting on chairs, waiting for boarding for his flight to begin. These days flights often get delayed, all credit to the weather in Delhi, but it will be well in Mumbai. “Maybe you had the void already in your life, but it was not in focus. Now, love brings it forward, and you can’t focus anywhere else. I knew I was right,” he thought, with a Duchenne smile on his face. But then the air hostess announced that they had started the boarding. He was in business class, thus got to go in first, with bigger legroom and ample space to write during the flight. Also, you get some other perks by being a senior citizen. He walked slowly, one step at a time, with a slight inclination left and right with each step. Staff helped him with his baggage, and he boarded. “Hah… weather is good here,” he thought after landing in Mumbai. A person holding a placard with his name, Ved, approached him....
