What if ?

A thought crossed my mind right before I was leaving the office on the Friday night. What if the concept of rebirth is true?

I haven’t written for long due to lack of sufficient arguments for anything. Life has been peaceful recently. If there are issues at hand then mind has something to grind onto. Maybe this is cost of the creativity. Cost as suffering, if you can think you can think in any direction beyond normal human capacity, even on the axis of how bad things can go. There is no limit to minds imagination as it can go through all the permutation and combination of worse in a matter of seconds, like a quick death. I won’t say I am creative, as not everybody is creative, as it is rare. Like not everybody is a neurosurgeon, not everybody get to go to IIT, not everybody gets to be the best in the field, similarly not everybody is creative.

I recall Kumar Varun’s conversation with someone where he shared one of things is grandfather used to tell him. he said, “No matter what group of friends you have, you will always have someone smarter, richer, intelligent, strong or better than you at anything you can think of, and it is possible you can’t be like them. But don’t be stupid, as this is the only thing you can make sure. Rest are out of your control, but not being stupid is.”

Coming back to the question of what if rebirth is real ? We are being born again and again. That means everybody around us was born as someone else in the last life. If I take Karma as a variable that remains associated with you across all the births and you get your next life on the basis of that. May be after death you get to know the status of your karma and what will you be in next birth. Then those who get to be humans again search for the right opportunity to take a body and now they again strive to enhance their karma in difficult dynamics life puts in front of them. It is possible that enlightened souls choose the house they want to born into very consciously as they want their surrounding to support in enhancing their karma. Rest of us want to enhance quickly and thus choosing whatever best option we receive at the moment and go for it. It could be the reason we have issues with our surroundings. But it is also possible that this was the best our karma could have.

Now if everybody is reborn then our parents are reborn as well. Just due to past karma we met, they are our parents and we are their children. That is a short span of time in which they grow, helps enhancing each other for karma. Why only parents, that goes for every other relation as well. The thought that how badly it hurts when we lose the bond we create throughout the life, ends at the death is frightening. Attachments remains, we want them to stay but after death our loved one will have a new life and will born as hope for someone else, for some new parents. It could be giraffe as well if not human, but bond of the family is precious. If we see beyond this life then there is no meaning of this attachment.

Maybe that’s detachment is one of the hardest struggle we have. No matter how logical we become its hard to get detached. We mourn the dead but we learn to live without them and then its normal, that’s detachment. The bond is of life fades away as time passes and we learn to live with the truth, truth of death. Death is the ultimate truth.

We want to fulfill our suppressed wishes throughout the life, and we keep going back to those in one way or other. It could be said that if you are attached to something or not detached, then you will go back to that thing. What if same is true for life as well. If you don’t get detached to all things then your soul will comeback to life to quench the thirst for your remained desires. If its hard to get rid of attachments for us, then it must be difficult for the soul as well. So the soul will keep going in the loop of birth and death and it would be hard to get out of it. We have conscious, and maybe that’s the cost for past. We are given a chance to enhance our karma with conscious and not memory, otherwise everybody could rise up. It is to be difficult.

If souls go on searching for the body, then they could be somewhere around us. There could be good and bad souls. I haven’t thought much about that, so I would leave that to you.

What keeps us in the loop? Bad things. Who defines what’s bad ? That’s a difficult question to answer. May be our conscious. We can lie about anything to be good or bad, but our conscious knows all of it. We are driven by our emotions instead of our conscious and its hard to take control of that. We can lie. That’s why lying is called a sin or bad in general.

Why lying is bad ? Because everything we keep doing, we keep getting perfect with time. So we keep getting perfect at lying. Lying not through words but with action, body-language and any other means if possible. Again, if our emotions are driving us, then we would lie and if driven by conscious, we probably can’t. That’s why it is hard to get good people. Everybody is getting perfect with lies and we have started imitating perfection so well that we have forgot how does the honest and truth looks. That’s a bad sign for the conscious.

In the end, I think not everybody wants to rise up, not everybody wants a fit body, not everybody wants to read good books, not everybody wants to engage in high level discussion that would enrich our life, not everybody wants to bear the responsibilities, not everybody wants to be honest because in this life imitating the perfection gives us better results than being honest and true person. But who knows if rebirth is real ?
