Sleeping Paralysis Attack: I could have died, because no one was there to help me.

After being sick for two weeks I was fine and I had to leave for college after two days. It was the first time that I was on a medical leave. College started just one week before I became sick, so I had not read much and that's why I decided to read a novel. I called my friend Devendra Pratap to help get me a novel. He took me to Aashram where I could found novels of my choice. I had just started to read the names of the books to select one, when I saw Shiva Trilogy, which was at my eye level. I decided to take that with me. I took the first book of the trilogy, which was "Immortals of Meluha". When I was leaving I said " Dev, I'll complete it in one day". He said "Dude, 450 pages?" "Toh?", I asked. Dev replied "If you'll complete it in a day, next lassi in Pacheria hotel is from my side; and your time starts now." I accepted the challenge with a smile on my face and left.  Aashram is a coaching center conducted by a govt s...

Why shouldn't we tease girls ?

Its been a week since Raksha Bandhan and I went to Shimla that week with my friends . I was badly missing my sister because it was third time in row that i was not with her during this festival. I was thinking about writing something for her but I couldn't. So today, I decided to write something. Of course there is a lot of work to do but ' padhna   hi   to   hai   :p'. The cases of eve teasing are on a rise. Every girl once in her life faces such incidents. One of my female friend who is working in Gurgaon often tells me on eve teasing. In her words, “People stare at me every time. It becomes difficult at times for a working women in these situations. One cannot just leave behind everything and sit at home because of such people.” A friend of mine at Jaipur once told me on how one of her friend was molested by some guys and how another one was slapped by her boyfriend, just because she refused to go out on a movie with him but instead went to party with her...

Orphans : have you ever met one ?

A Doctor made an orphan a Doctor It was a normal day like any other day.the only difference was that it was Sunday. Breakfast time on Sunday in mess is late than any other day, its from 9 to 10am. I was reading a novel "think and grow rich". My legs were on the table one on another and I sat on the chair. It was raining outside so I could feel the freshness and was thinking to make a plan to visit somewhere, apart from this I was suffering from cold and viral fever so couldn't go anywhere. Suddenly I found myself lost in memories. I was in a restaurant with one of my good friend, Shruti Rana. It was Feb one month before my birthday and she asked me where I would like to go on my birthday ? I said where you are ready to give me party. And then she said that she is serious and I said let me see. I thought for a second and said orphanage. She said okay. I thought they'll plan to visit an orphanage on my birthday or nearest weekend but ....( then my phone...

IIT Delhi : Mechanical to Electrical

and My   Journe y Title is little confusing, isn't it ? You might be thinking that what its all about. So I'll clear all the things in the post. As my blog link expresses I am Piyush Joshi. I am a student of Civil Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra. It was my dream to study in IIT Delhi- Mechanical Engineering. Earlier I studied in Resonance Kota. Most of the students from all over the country come to Kota with a dream of to be an IITian, and I was also one of them. But I wanted to be different than others by securing a good position in JEE Advance so  as everyone. In starting months my performance was quite good and i was sure about my selection. but as the time passes syllabus was continuously increasing and that's the thing where most of the students ( like me ) use our smartness and fall on their face.  I remember when i joined Resonance than there was  motivation class for us. It was for all the students who came to kota tha...

Happy Birthday Apurva :)

Ever y thin g for You I was thinking to write a blog for a long time. Actually i joined blogger in 9th class, only to read Amitabh Bacchan's blog and at that time i didn't know that how to write a blog. Even if i could write then the biggest question in front of me was what to write ? Because i was not too good in English (as i'm not now too). And i tried to write but i didn't have any topic or any spirit or anything that inspires me to write. Yes, i wrote some short stories in Hindi in my higher secondary classes. But for me a blog was, y'know, um very difficult. Finally i'm writing my first blog and its for my sister. :) There is one more person whose blogs i like to read, Preethi Sridhara. My friend from Bangalore whom i met in Delhi during Jenesys Program. Preethi if you are reading this than i want to tell you here is your fan and you inspired me too.  Today I have something to share. Its a special day for my sister and for me too. Its...
